Along with several other people I work with I went out on a quest for In N Out. The directions we were given ended up being bad directions and we found ourselves struggling for time to eat. On our we back to work we saw this sandwich place and figured: “what the hell.”

The place wasn’t too big a deal, but their menu choices allowed me to put together carne asada, mayo, avocado, tomato, cilantro, and salsa together in a wheat roll. I can’t help but enjoy a tasty sandwich that is priced for a game testers budget. I think this is the first time I’ve had a carne asada sandwich that wasn’t made with left over carne asada from my fridge.

That carne asada burrito looks pretty good doesn’t it? The bummer is that I took pictures of 3 different dishes and this is the only picture that came out well. This place is busy and despite being small and on the nicer end of the mexican restaurant scale the doors in the front and side were opening up constantly so it was always a fight to calibrate the camera for the dark and then the door would open just as I was taking a picture. It was a like a fun little game to beat the door, but obviously I lost since there is only one pictures. What I do know is that you can’t fuck up a picture of a carne asada burrito with red sauce, it’s disrespectful

Girl Alex and I had been planning for a month or so to grab lunch during her lunch break so I could stop by and see an old friend that she worked with, and out of sheer randomness went with Olivia’s, a place I swore I’d been to before but didn’t recognize the inside of at all. It was clearly the lunch spot for all the local businesses since most of the other guests were over dressed for a Mexican restaurant. The restaurant is older than me though so respect!

I followed up this burrito with some deep fried ice cream, a favorite dessert when I was growing up. Alex and I happily shared the tough duty of eating such heavily frozen ice cream, and I tried sooooo hard to take a good photo, and thought I had until I viewed it on my computer. It will always be in our hearts though.
